Spirit of Giving Supports New Agencies in 2016

The PM Company held its annual Spirit of Giving event Thursday, December 8th, and announced the 2016 recipients for their annual fundraising effort, for a total of $60,050 to be shared among the agencies. For the ninth year, Pat Minnite, Sr. and his family elected to forego traditional gifts to tenants and vendors with whom […]

“We are so fortunate to not only have found a perfect location for our prosthetic & orthotic business, but also to lease with such an exceptional real estate company. From the site visit on day one to the opening of our doors after the remodel, Pat Minnite and John Burns have been a pleasure to work with. Through the entire process, Pat and John have been very responsive, fair and easy to communicate with at all hours. The site was completely transformed from the previous tenants to a beautiful new office with vibrant colors and all of the details meticulously covered. Thanks to Pat, John and the rest of the PM Company crew – we look forward to serving our patients in the years to come in a facility that we are proud to call home.”

“The Memorial Health System has greatly benefited from a close property development relationship with the PM Company. Our partnership has permitted us the flexibility to design and construct cutting edge healthcare facilities at reasonable costs and in a phased approach. Success on these projects required excellent teamwork along with high levels of trust and commitment by everyone involved. The entire PM Company organization has felt like an extension of my own team.”

” Pat has been nothing but good to us. They take good care of their property and their tenants.  As a small business, you have enough to worry about, so it’s nice to not have to be concerned about the property. Grounds are nice, we have no problem with snow removal. They’re on it.”

We're so excited! We received over thirty applications from area non-profits for our 2017 Spirit of Giving funds. We'll be reviewing over the next few weeks, and recipients will be announced soon. Meanwhile, here's a great way to get your group involved...

Spirit of Giving Community Service Opportunity

Spirit of Giving is a fund created by PMC at the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation. Each year, PMC chooses charities to benefit from the fund, and awards grants in December at a Spirit of Giving event. This is our tenth anniversary, and we hope to have $100,000 to donate this year!
In addition to funds, Spirit of Giving asks for “wish lists” from each recipient. We then collect those items to be given to the group at the event. For example, a food pantry may ask for soups and boxed pastas; a children’s group may ask for diapers and wipes; a homeless group may request gloves, soaps and shampoos, etc.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student group, church or civic organization to get involved. Selected charities will be announced in September, and wish lists will be distributed. Groups may choose a wish list to work on. They will then be invited to send two representatives to the Spirit of Giving event to present their donations. The group will be recognized at the event, so it’s a great way to raise your group profile, attend an event which has over 500 invitees from businesses around the community, and help those less fortunate at the holidays, in the process.
Should your group choose to participate, we will provide signage for collection boxes, as well as up to ten Spirit of Giving t-shirts. Those will be available with wish lists in September.
Please email lisa@thepmcompany.com to participate. We look forward to having your help, in the Spirit of Giving!
